AdBlue is injected into the exhaust gas flow upstream of an SCR catalytic converter, where it is converted into ammonia, which converts the nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water.

AdBlue is mainly used in diesel cars and trucks to meet the Euro 4 and Euro 5 emissions standards.
4. Who produces AdBlue?
AdBlue is produced by around 150 manufacturers worldwide.
5. How much AdBlue is needed?
The consumption of AdBlue is between 2% and 8% of the diesel fuel consumption, with an average of approx. 1.5 liters per 1000 kilometers.
