Technical properties of fuels

The quality of fuels is ensured by defined standards and parameters. These are crucial for engine compatibility, efficiency and operational safety.

Standards

  • Diesel: DIN EN 590
  • Gasoline: DIN EN 228
  • HVO: DIN EN 15940

Characteristic values (selection)

  • Diesel sulphur content: max. 10 ppm (ULSD)
  • Gasoline octane rating: 95 RON (Super), 98 RON (Super Plus)
  • Cetane number (HVO higher than fossil diesel) → supports clean combustion

Composition

  • Diesel: hydrocarbons, optionally up to 7 % biodiesel (FAME) possible
  • HVO: paraffinic diesel fuel from biogenic residues (without FAME)
  • Otto: defined hydrocarbon mixtures with additive packages

Special features

  • Winter and summer grades available for diesel
  • HVO with very good shelf life (up to 10 years possible)
  • Different fuels require specific storage and handling conditions

Advantages of fuels

Plannable supply

Fuels are delivered as required - with fixed delivery intervals or automated replenishment. This reduces manual effort and increases operational reliability.

Standard-compliant quality

All products comply with established European standards. This ensures compatibility with existing motors and minimizes technical risks.

Flexible application options

From vehicle fleets to construction sites and agriculture: the portfolio covers a wide range of applications without the need for multiple suppliers.

Transparent procurement

Price structures are based on market mechanisms and remain transparent. This makes budget planning and purchasing easier.

Options for different requirements

In addition to conventional fuels, alternative products are available that can offer additional advantages depending on their use - for example in terms of storage life or emission profile.

FAQ

Which fuels are suitable for my business?

This depends on your vehicles, machines, engine technologies and operating conditions. Different applications - such as fleet operation, construction, agriculture or stationary systems - each require suitable fuel qualities. Aspects such as storability, standard requirements and supply logic also play a role. We support you in classifying the options in a structured manner and finding a solution that suits your business.

Can I combine different fuels?

Yes, depending on the application and infrastructure, different fuels can be used in parallel. For example, fleets, machines and stationary systems can each be supplied with suitable products. It is important to consider the requirements of the respective engines and systems. A structured supply ensures that quality, storage and areas of application are optimally coordinated.

Is HVO compatible with my diesel vehicle?

In many cases, HVO can be used as a drop-in fuel in existing diesel vehicles without the need for technical modifications. The prerequisite is approval from the respective manufacturer. HVO offers comparable application possibilities to conventional diesel and can be used both pure and in blends.

How is the delivery organized?

Delivery takes place via coordinated models that are geared to your needs. These include fixed delivery intervals, demand-based delivery or automatic refill systems with tank monitoring. In this way, filling levels are continuously monitored and deliveries are triggered in good time. Deliveries can also be made to locations that are difficult to access.

Are there minimum purchase quantities?

Minimum purchase quantities may vary depending on the region, product and selected delivery model. Among other things, they depend on logistical requirements, route planning and supply structure. Your individual requirements are taken into account to find a suitable solution so that the supply can be implemented economically and practically.

How are prices formed?

Pricing is based on market mechanisms. Influencing factors include crude oil prices, demand trends and logistics and transportation costs. This keeps prices comprehensible and transparent. Structured procurement helps to better classify costs and support operational planning.

Can I have my tanks monitored?

Yes, digital tank monitoring is possible and part of modern supply solutions. Fill levels are continuously recorded and can be used for scheduling. On this basis, deliveries can be triggered automatically so that bottlenecks are avoided and operational costs are reduced.

What quantity should I order?

The storage life depends on the fuel in question. While conventional diesel has a limited storage life, HVO offers significantly longer stability and can be stored for several years. The actual storage life is also influenced by storage conditions and handling, which is why a suitable infrastructure is important.

How long can fuels be stored?

This varies depending on the product. HVO, for example, has a significantly longer shelf life than conventional diesel.
